USA remains the top destination for exports of cotton textiles from India. Bangladesh has replaced Hongkong as the 2nd most important destination; while Hongkong has been relegated to the 4th position. Korea Rep. has improved its position from the 7th position last year to the 3rd position in the year 1999-2000. U.K., Germany, Italy, Japan, Mauritius continue to be major destinations with Dubai just scraping through to the 10th position as last year.
