Notice is hereby given that the 11th Annual General Meeting of the Powerloom Development & Export Promotion Council [PDEXCIL] will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, the 12th of September, 2006, at TEXTILES COMMITTEE AUDITORIUM, TEXTILES COMMITTEE, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, P. Balu Road, Prabhadevi Chowk, Prabhadevi, Mumbai - 400 025, to transact the following business :-
 

1)

To receive and adopt the Annual Report of the Committee of Administration [Committee] for the year 2005-2006, as required under article 34 of the Articles of Association of the Council;
 

2)

To receive and adopt the audited Balance Sheet as on the 31st of March, 2006, and the Income and Expenditure Account of the Council for the financial year that ended on that day, together with the Committee’s report thereon, as required under article 41 of the Articles of Association of the Council;
 

Note :

(Any member desirous of asking a question on the said accounts at that meeting, is requested to give notice thereof, in writing, to the Secretary of the Council, on or before 5.00 p.m. on Tuesday, the 5th of September, 2006).

To elect a member to the Committee of Administration in place of Shri M. Senthil Kumar (Southern Region) who retires by rotation and is eligible for re-election thereto;
 

4.

To elect a member to the Committee of Administration in place of Shri M.S. Jalaludeen (Southern Region) who retires by rotation and is eligible for re-election thereto;
 

5.

To elect a member to the Committee of Administration in place of Shri Arif M. Husain (Central Region) who retires by rotation and is eligible for re-election thereto;
 

6.

To elect a member to the Committee of Administration in place of Shri Salauddin N. Ansari (Western Region) who retires by rotation and is eligible for re-election thereto;
 

7.

To elect a member to the Committee of Administration in place of Shri Subhan Sikandar Ansari (Western Region) who retires by rotation and is eligible for re-election thereto;
 

8.

To elect a member to the Committee of Administration in place of Shri M.S. Mathivanan (Southern Region) who retires by rotation and is eligible for re-election thereto;
