DEVELOPMENTAL ISSUES :
|
|

The
Council has been organising meetings of the Powerloom
Centres Development Committees at important identified
clusters in the country, interalia after co-ordination
with the concerned Textile Research Association and
bankers for providing assistance in the modernisation and
technology upgradation of the decentralised small scale
powerlooms at these centres, amongst other things to the
TUFS.

The
Council is organising meetings between the bankers, TRA’s
and the powerloom entrepreneurs to further the development
programme of modernisation of powerloom units at the
various powerloom centres.

The
Council has been consistently making suggestions to the
Ministry of Textiles for the TUFS and various other
schemes, especially for the powerloom sector.

1)
|
Entrepreneur Development Programme on Technical, Financial and Management aspects for Decentralised Powerloom Industry was organised by the PDEXCIL at Hyderabad in association with the Regional Office of the Textile Commissioner, Chennai and Powerloom Service Centre, Hyderabad from 28.11.2005 to 02.12.2005.

One Day training programme on Modern Weaving Technology was organised by the PDEXCIL at Madhavnagar in association with the Regional Office of the Textile Commissioner, Mumbai, BTRA Powerloom Service Centre, Madhavnagar and the Sangli District Powerloom Owner’s Association, Madhavnagar on 12.12.2005.

One Day training programme on Modern Weaving was organised by the PDEXCIL at Ujjain in association with the Regional Office of the Textile Commissioner, Mumbai and ATIRA Powerloom Service Centre, Indore on 21.12.2005.

One Day training programme on Quality Management (Textiles) was organised by the PDEXCIL at Ichalkaranji in association with the Regional Office of the Textile Commisioner, Mumbai and BTRA Powerloom Service Centre, Ichalkaranji on 21.02.2006.

Entrepreneurship Development Programme for promoting Hi-Tech Weaving Units was organised by the PDEXCIL in association with the Regional Office of the Textile Commissioner, Mumbai from 09.03.2006 to 11.03.2006.
