1. Co-option of additional banks/financial institutons by Nodal Agencies.
   1.       Industrial Developement Bank of India (IDBI), the nodal agency (NA) for textile industry (Non-SSI) under Technology Upgradation Fund Scheme, vide letter No. IDBI.HO.TUFS(6) dated 08-05-2003 and 14-05-2003 has co-opted the following banks for Non-SSI Textile Sector under TUFS.
      1. Allahabad Bank
      2. The Shamrao Vithal Co-operative Bank Ltd.
      3. Bombay Mercantile Co-operative Bank Ltd.

   2. Small Industries Developement Bank of India (SIDBI), the nodal agency (NA) for SSI textile sector under Technology Upgradation Fund Scheme, vide letter No. DFID/RTUF dated 14-07-2003 has co-opted the Surat District Co-operative Bank Ltd. for SSI textile sector under the TUF Scheme.

2. Decisions taken by Technical Advisory-cum-Monitoring Committee (TAMC) in its 21st meeting held at Mumbai on 6th Aug. 2003.
   1. Inclusion of machinery for wool combing.

      Bailing press for wool combing has been included in Annex-B(b) of the G.R. on TUFS as follows:

      Annx-B(b)13- Bailing Press for wool combing.

   2. Inclusion of Computerized Strap (Collar/Cuff) Flat Bed Knitting Machine.

      Computerized Strap (Collar/Cuff) Flat Bed Knitting Machine has been included  in Annex-D-1 and Annex-E of the G.R. on TUFS as follows:

      1. Annex-D-1 (c) 8 - Computerized Strap (Collar/Cuff) Flat Bed Knitting Machine.
      2. Annex -E (a) 68 - Computerized Strap (Collar/Cuff) Flat Bed Knitting Machine.

   3. Inclusion of Back coating lines.

      Back Coating Lines for carpets backing, non-woven textiles & technical textiles have been included in Annex - D-2 of the G.R. on TUFS as follows:

      1. Annex - D2(d)9 - Back Coating Lines
      2. Annex - D2(f) - Non-Woven C 16 - Back Coating Lines

   4. Additional machinery for Readymade Garment sector.

      Cup seamer has been included in Annex - E(a) of the G.R. on TUFS as follows.

      Annex E(a) 69 - Cup seamer. 

   5. Inclusion of Dipping unit for Indl./Technical Textiles.

      Dipping unit has been included in Annex - F-1 & F-2 of the G.R. on TUFS follows.

      1. Annex-F-1 (b) (III) 18 - Dipping Unit
      2. Annex-F-2 (b) (III) 11 - Dipping Unit

   6. Removal of the minimum speed stipulation for new high speed circular knitting machines.

      Minimum speed stipulation for new high speed circular knitting machine has been removed and the entry in Annex - D-1 c. 1 of the G.R. on TUFS has been amended as follows.

      Annex D-1-c. 1  : High speed circular knitting machine. For permissible second hand reconditioned circular knitting machine, minimum speed should be of 20 revolutions per minute.

      This amendment is effective from 21.01.2003, the date from which minimum speed stipulation was made effective for the circular knitting machine in the GR on TUFS.

             The above modifications ma please be brought to the notice of all concerned.
