GUIDELINES FOR THE SELECTION OF THE MEMBERS OF POWERLOOM
CENTRE DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE (PCDC) OF THE
PDEXCIL
The
members of the PCDC should necessarily be the members of the
PDEXCIL.
The
members of the PCDCs’ should be credible and have bonafide
standing in the powerloom cluster/centre concerned, having
actual hands on working experience in the powerloom sector in
the form of manufacture and/or export, should be genuinely
committed to the cause of powerlooms, can contribute
meaningfully & objectively to the deliberations and
decisions of the PCDC & should be articulate.
The composition of the PCDCs’ would be as follows,
comprising both non-official and official members having
jurisdiction over the area concerned;
Non-Official Members
:-
A
maximum of 12 members of the PDEXCIL.
Official Members
A maximum of 6 out of the following :
i) The officer-in-charge of the Powerloom Service Centre,
of the o/o the Textile Commissioner/Textile Research
Association.
The
officer-in-charge of the office of the Textiles Committee
covering the powerloom centre.
The
officer-in-charge of the regional office of the SIDBI.
The
officer-in-charge of the regional office of the NABARD.
The
General Manager of the District Industry Centre (DIC).
Head
of the local textile education institutes [most prominent one in
that area in the event of there being more than one such
institute in that area].
Any
other official from the State Government/Central
Government/Local Government/Local Authority, as the case may be.
Thus, the total number of persons in these PCDCs’
should not exceed 18, including a maximum of 12 non-official members
and 6 official members.
