Minimum Basic Programme for the  PCDC's

It is felt by the various committee members of the PDEXCIL that this is the high time to remobilise the working of the PCDCs’ at the various places, as it is an important organisation of the PDEXCIL to enthuse the development of the powerloom sector as a whole. It was discussed with the various PCDC Convenors and members informally to prepare one Minimum Basic Programme for the development of the respective areas, to which the PCDC belongs. However, the response was negligible.

In order to re-vitalise the whole working as such, a Minimum Basic Programme of the PCDC is enumerated as below. You are requested to go through it and communicate your creative ideas on the said programme alongwith your suggestions and other inclusions.

1) Atleast one meeting of PCDC should be convened in a month to discuss the issues as required and the minutes of the same should be sent to the office of the PDEXCIL for the necessary information.

2)The Convenor, PCDC, alongwith the members of the PCDC should identify the potential investors under the TUFS and help in organising the facilitation camps as committed by the PDEXCIL. All the efforts should be made to see that the powerloom sector is benefitted by this scheme in a big way.

3)A report / project should be prepared for the display of various attachments in the powerlooms, in consultation with the PSCs’ concerned, wherever the same has not been conceived / implemented, and it is required to do so.

4) If it is felt by the respective PCDCs’ that it is required to have a survey of the powerlooms of their region, an outline of the same may be prepared and sent to the head office for the necessary action.

5) The PCDCs’ should arrange atleast one visit in a year for the survey of powerlooms at a different powerloom region, as per the scheme formulated by the PDEXCIL, so that the members of the respective areas get benefit out of this scheme.

6)The PCDC should forward other requirements of their powerloom regions to the PDEXCIL giving specific details and their recommendations for the same, for the benefit of the powerloom industry of their region.

7) The PCDC should periodically discuss and take account of the working done by them in the past and try to give inputs about the policies / schemes for the benefit of the industry of that region, and also discuss the matters related to the difficulties of that area, represented by the PCDC, and forward the same to the head office with their recommendations.

Since, already substantial time has elapsed and it is urgently required to start the process, I request you to forward your valuable suggestion on the said programme.
